Description

This document describe the basic settings of setting up a Yealink phone to connect to Offisky Device Account using the phone build-in web configuration panel. Although each models may comes with a different configuration layout, the idea behind the setup is very similar.


Setup Yealink T46G IP Phone (Video):









To setup the Yealink phone (including setup the device account):

  1. This document assume you are setup up the phone from scratch. If you need to reset the phone to factory default, please refer to your phone user manual.

  2. Open the Phone Device Setup Information screen of the Device Account you wish to setup, as described in this document.

  3. Click on "Show me the information" icon. Once you see the actual setup information, scroll to the bottom and download the "Yealink CFG Configuration File"

  4. Connect your phone to your network, and wait until the phone successfully boot-up.

  5. Get the IP Address of the phone from the phone (Use the "OK" button or "Menu" > Status).

  6. Use a computer which is located under the same network of your phone, open your favorite web browser, and type in the IP Address in the URL.

  7. When it prompt for username / password, enter the credentials for the phone (default: username: admin, password: admin), which will enter into the phone main screen "Status".

  8. Click on the "Settings" tab, on the left hand side menu, click on "Configuration".

  9. Under "Import CFG Configuration File", Choose the "Yealink CFG Configuration File" you have downloaded above, select "All Configuration" in the drop down list, and click on "Import" button.

  10. Wait until the phone response. If necessary, restart your phone.

  11. Click on the "Settings" tab, on the left hand side menu, click on "Time & Date".

  12. Make sure your local time settings is correct. If not, update the time settings here.

  13. Now, go to the "Phone Device Account" and look for the device account you have just setup, if the phone is registered successfully (Green light), meaning the phone has been successfully connected. Otherwise, check out the previous configuration to ensure the information is provided correctly.

  14. Please note: It may take 1 to 2 minutes after your phone completely boot up to register to the Offisky Network.



Update Soft Keys Layout: Some of the Yealink phones comes with customizable soft keys button on the screen. If you are using the "Yealink CFG Configuration File" as described above, it already setup the basic layout of your keys. However, if you prefer to setup on your own style, you may do so under the DSSKey tab. For more information, please refer to the Yealink user manual for your phone model.



Setup additional device account in a Yealink phone:

  1. For the initial / first device account setup, please refer to "To setup the Yealink phone" section in this document.

  2. Open the Phone Device Setup Information screen of the Device Account you wish to setup, as described in this document.

  3. Find IP address and access into the phone web configuration panel, as described under "To setup the Yealink phone" section in this document.


  4. Click on "Account" tab, on your left hand side, click "Register".

  5. Account: Select the account (line number) you wish this account to set into, in this phone.

  6. Line Active: Select "Enabled".

  7. Label: Provide the name you wish to display on the phone screen (Recommended using the Device Setup Info: "Account / Nick Name").

  8. Display Name: Provide the name you wish to display on the phone screen (Recommended using the Device Setup Info: "Account / Nick Name").

  9. Register Name: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Username"

  10. User Name: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Username"

  11. Password: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Password"

  12. Under SIP Server 1:

  13. Server Host: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Proxy Server"

    • Port: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Proxy Port"

  14. Transport: Select "UDP"

  15. Server Expires: 3600

  16. Server Retry Counts: 3

  17. Under SIP Server 2:

  18. Server Host: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Backup Proxy Server"

    • Port: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Backup Proxy Port"

  19. Transport: Select "UDP"

  20. Server Expires: 3600

  21. Server Retry Counts: 3

  22. Enable Outbound Proxy Server: Select "Disabled".

  23. Click on "Confirm" button to save your change.



  24. On your left hand side, click "Codec".

  25. Update this codec list to match the order in your "Device Settings" page.

  26. Click on "Confirm" button to save your change.



  27. On your left hand side, click "Advanced".

  28. Voice Mail: *97

  29. Click on "Confirm" button to save your change.



  30. Wait until the phone response. If necessary, restart your phone.

  31. Go to "DSSKey" and update the line (account) key button you wish to layout on your phone. For more information, please refer to the Yealink user manual of your phone model.

  32. Now, go to the "Phone Device Account" and look for the device account you have just setup, if the phone is registered successfully (Green light), meaning the phone has been successfully connected. Otherwise, check out the previous configuration to ensure the information is provided correctly.

  33. Please note: It may take 1 to 2 minutes after your phone completely boot up to register to the Offisky Network.
