This document describe the basic settings to setup Grandstream IP Phone with Offisky Device Account using the phone build-in web configuration panel. Although each models may comes with a different configuration layout, the idea behind the setup is very similar.



Auto Generated Configuration File (Zero Configuration):



  1. This document assume you are setup up the phone from scratch. If you need to reset the phone to factory default, please refer to your phone user manual.

  2. Open the Phone Device Setup Information screen, as described in this document.

  3. Search for "Auto-Generate Device Configuration File" for Grandstream IP Phone, then download it.

  4. Connect your phone to your network, and wait until the phone successfully boot-up.

  5. Get the IP Address of the phone from the phone "Status" menu.

  6. Use a computer which is located under the same network of your phone, open your favorite web browser, and type in the IP Address in the URL (address bar).

  7. When it prompt for username / password, enter the credentials for the phone (default: username: admin, password: admin), which will enter into the phone main screen "Account Status".

  8. If your phone ask to change your password, provide a new password and continue.

  9. At the top of the screen, search for [MAINTENANCE], then select [Upgrade and Provisioning].

  10. Go to the middle of the page, under "Config" Section, search for "Upload Device Configuration", then click on [Upload].

  11. Provide the "Auto-Generate Device Configuration File" downloaded from the "Offisky Phone Device Setup Information Screen" (above), then click on [Upload].

  12. You should now see the phone is updated and is ready to use (if not, restart your phone and try again).

  13. Test your phone to ensure everything is work as expected.







Manual Configurations (using Build-in Phone Web Configuration Panel):


Setup Granstream GXP1450 IP Phone (Video):





To setup a Grandstream phone:

  1. This document assume you are setup up the phone from scratch. If you need to reset the phone to factory default, please refer to your phone user manual.

  2. Open the Phone Device Setup Information screen, as described in this document.

  3. Connect your phone to your network, and wait until the phone successfully boot-up.

  4. Get the IP Address of the phone from the phone "Status" menu.

  5. Use a computer which is located under the same network of your phone, open your favorite web browser, and type in the IP Address in the URL (address bar).

  6. When it prompt for username / password, enter the credentials for the phone (default: username: admin, password: admin), which will enter into the phone main screen "Account Status".



General Account Settings:

  1. In the top menu, select: "Accounts > Account 1"

  2. In the left hand side menu, select: "General Settings"

  3. Account Active: Select Yes (Active).

  4. Account Name: Provide the name you wish to display on the phone screen (Recommended using the Device Setup Info: "Account / Nick Name").

  5. SIP Server: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Registrar Server"

  6. Secondary SIP Server: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Backup Registrar Server"

  7. Outbound Proxy: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Outbound Proxy Server"

  8. SIP User ID: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Username"

  9. Authenticate ID: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Username"

  10. Authenticate Password: Copy the Device Setup Info: "Password"

  11. Name: Provide the name you wish to display on the phone screen (Recommended using the Device Setup Info: "Account / Nick Name").

  12. Voice Mail UserID: provide value *97.

  13. Leave the rest of the information as default and click on "Save" button.



Network Settings:

  1. In the left hand side menu, select: "Network Settings"

  2. DNS Mode: Select "A Record".

  3. Leave the rest of the information as default and click on "Save" button.



Basic SIP Settings:

  1. In the left hand side menu, select: "SIP Settings > Basic Settings"

  2. SIP Registration: Select "Yes".

  3. Unregister on Reboot: Select "Yes".

  4. Register Expiration: Enter value 120.

  5. Reregister before Expiration: Enter value 45.

  6. Leave the rest of the information as default and click on "Save" button.



Security Settings:

  1. In the left hand side menu, select: "SIP Settings > Security Settings"

  2. Validate Incoming Messages: Select "Yes".

  3. Check SIP User ID for Incoming INVITE: Select "Yes".

  4. Accept Incoming SIP from Proxy Only: Select "Yes".

  5. Authenticate Incoming INVITE: Select "Yes".

  6. Leave the rest of the information as default and click on "Save" button.



Audio Settings:

  1. In the left hand side menu, select: "Audio Settings"

  2. Send DTMF: Select "via RTP (RFC2833)".

  3. Preferred Vocoder - choice 1: Select "G.729A/B", PCMU, or PCMA depending on the Device Account settings.

  4. Preferred Vocoder - choice 2: Select "G.729A/B", PCMU, or PCMA depending on the Device Account settings.

  5. Preferred Vocoder - choice 3: Select "G.729A/B", PCMU, or PCMA depending on the Device Account settings.

  6. Symmetric RTP: Select "No".

  7. Leave the rest of the information as default and click on "Save" button.



Call Settings:

  1. In the left hand side menu, select: "Call Settings"

  2. Dial Plan: { x+ | *x+ | *xx*x+ }

  3. Enable Call Features: Select "No".

  4. Allow Auto Answer by Call-Info: Select "Yes" if you wish to use Offisky phone panel click to dial / answer feature (Optional).

  5. Use # as Dial Key: Select "Yes".

  6. Leave the rest of the information as default and click on "Save" button.



Restart your phone:

  1. At the very top of the screen, click on "Reboot", confirm your action, and wait for the phone to restart.

  2. Now, go to the "Phone Device Account" and look for the device account you have just setup, if the phone is registered successfully (Green light), meaning the phone has been successfully connected. Otherwise, check out the previous configuration to ensure the information is provided correctly.

  3. Please note: It may take 1 to 2 minutes after your phone completely boot up to register to the Offisky Network.
