CounterPath X-Lite Setup (Softphone, Free Download)

Description

This document describe the basic settings of setting up CounterPath X-Lite (Softphone) to connect to Offisky Device Account using the phone build-in web configuration panel. X-Lite is a free download, SIP base Softphone provided by CounterPath. For more information, please visit X-Lite official website.


Setup CounterPath X-Lite SIP Phone (Video):





To setup XLite (Basic Settings):

1. This document assume you are setup up the soft phone from scratch.


2. Visit X-Lite official website and download the latest soft phone version.


3. Install the downloaded X-Lite into your computer.


4. Once the installation is finished, launch (start) X-Lite.


5. In X-Lite, under "Softphone" menu, Account Settings.


6. Open a browser and login to your master account.


7. Open the Phone Device Setup Information screen, as described in this document.


8. X-Lite: Under the "Account" tab (top menu).


9. Copy Offisky Username to X-Lite User ID


10. Copy Offisky Registrar Server to X-Lite Domain


11. Copy Offisky Password to X-Lite Password


12. Copy Offisky Nick Name to X-Lite Display name


13. Copy Offisky Username to X-Lite Authorization name


14. X-Lite: Allow this account for: De-select "IM / Presence".


15. X-Lite: Under the "Voicemail" tab (top menu).


16. X-Lite: Number to dial for checking voicemail: *97.


17. X-Lite: Under the "Topology" tab (top menu).


18. X-Lite: Firewall traversal method: select None.


19. X-Lite: Under the "Transport" tab (top menu).


20. X-Lite: Signaling transport: select UDP.


21. X-Lite: Click "OK" button at your lower right hand corner to save your changes.


22. Offisky Panel: Select "Status" tab. If the registration is successful, you will see the device has been registered.
